Yoga Spiritual Art of Awakening and Enlightenment
The many different paths that encompass yoga have all been taught by the greatest spiritual masters that ever lived; though in different cultures and languages, the teachings were not always called yoga. The meaning of the word yoga is union. It is an ancient spiritual discipline that unites mind, body, and spirit.
Lord Jesus Christ taught that those who loose themselves shall find themselves. Lord Buddha taught students to surrender the false identification with mind. Lord Krishna taught how to reunite with the oneness of all life. All of the greatest spiritual masters that ever lived taught yoga to some degree. There is a correction of perception that is at the root of all spiritual development. Yoga Spiritual awakening begins when you become aware of the ego. The awareness is your True Self. It is your true identity prior to material existence. It is your very Being beyond all form.
The truth they all teach is that you are not your ego; you are not your identification with form, including thought forms. When spiritual seekers begin to awaken, the process takes on a life of its own. Gradually, all negative and limiting positions, opinions, and judgements are surrendered. Nothing needs to be defended, as all is One. Everyone in existence is part of the whole. Transcending the levels of consciousness leads to this realization.
In the past however, this truth was thought to be exclusive to a certain group, and all other groups were false. In modern times it is now being revealed that the spiritual masters who taught in the past were all teaching paths to the truth. Seeking the truth is the first step.

Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find anything that agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.
