Shiva Mantras for Enlightenment

Lord Shiva Mantras are of great benefit to all spiritual seekers of Enlightenment and Moksha. Meditation on Om Namah Shivaya is a great devotional act.

Namah Shivaya is the most holy name of Lord Shiva, and is recorded in the very center of the ancient Hindu Vedas.

Na is the Lord’s concealing grace, Mah is the World. Shi is for reverence to the Lord, Va is His revealing Grace, Ya is the Soul.

Shiva Mantras

Om Namah Shivaya is known as the great redeeming mantra and means “Reverence to Shiva” or “I bow to that which I AM becoming”.

Shiva is the Supreme Reality, the inner Self. It is the name given to consciousness that dwells in all.

Chanting to Shiva allows all other false, or no longer needed constructs to fall away, to be destroyed, so that we stand rooted in the strength of our true foundation.

This mantra turns the intellect within to face itself and see its ignorance. Repetition of this chant will expand your consciousness, increasing your wisdom and purifying your soul.

Om Namah Shivaya

Chant, listen, and meditate upon with reverence and devotion. Let the love of the Supreme flow through you.

Enlightening Lotus

Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find anything that agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.
