Mantras for Enlightenment

Mantras are powerful, repetitive sayings, which invoke spiritual well-being and elevate ones level of consciousness. This whole manifested Universe is a vibrational energy frequency. We are all a part of this energy.

Chanting them with love and devotion not only benefits you, but all of creation.

Most of them originally come from the ancient Hindu Vedas, in the Sanskrit language.

These chants have been around longer than you can possibly imagine. Their power is sacred and eternal.

Mantras are similar to prayers, and are repeated for a set number of counts, similar to Catholicism’s Hail Mary’s.

It is important to remember that God has many names, and forms, and it is okay to worship him/her, and to pray to him/her by whatever valid name or form.

Words are very powerful. All words derive from thought, and all thoughts derive from the level of consciousness. People become what they say, which is why the ancient wisdom "If you have nothing nice to say, don’t say anything" should become a part of your daily practice.

Lord Jesus taught that "it is not what you put into your mouth that defiles you, but what comes out of your mouth".

In the New Testament, the Gospel of John, starts "In the beginning was The Word. And the Word was with God and the Word was God..."

Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find anything that agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.
