Bikram Yoga Benefits for Enlightenment!
Developed by Bikram Choudhury from traditional Hatha Yoga techniques in the 1970’s, this form of yoga is now immensely popular. Bikram is practiced in a heated and humid room, and consists of 26 specific poses, each held for a specific period of time. Poses, temperature, and humidity levels are all regulated. Any other yoga practice done in a heated environment not affiliated with Bikram is thus called Hot Yoga.
Bikram is practiced in a heated room to allow the body to remain warm and loose. Warm muscles and tendons are more flexible, which allows you to accomplish the challenging poses easier and safer. The heated room promotes increased sweating, releasing harmful toxins. Like regular Hatha Yoga, Bikram is a practice of physical purification. Mastery over the physical body is necessary in order to master one’s mind.
It is important to remember while practicing all yoga, that one is not the body, or the mind, but the pure conscious awareness beyond them. Before deciding on any spiritual path, in this information age, all devout seekers of Illumination, Self-Realization, Liberation, Salvation, and Enlightenment should first practice Jnana Yoga and gain True Knowledge.
Gain True Wisdom. Now is the time.

Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find anything that agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.
